WEBSITE COOKIES & USAGE
Cookies are small pieces of data, stored in text files, that are stored on your computer or other device when websites are loaded in a browser.
They are widely used to ‘remember’ you and your preferences, either for a single visit through a ’session cookie’ or for multiple repeat visits using a ‘persistent cookie’. They ensure a consistent and efficient experience for visitors, and perform essential functions such as allowing users to register and remain logged in.
Cookies may be set by the site that you are visiting, known as ‘first-party cookies’; or by third parties, such as those who serve content or provide advertising or analytics services on the website, known as ‘third-party cookies’.
Both websites and HTML emails may also contain other tracking technologies such as ‘web beacons’, or ‘pixels’. These are typically small transparent images that provide statistics for similar purposes as cookies. They are often used in conjunction with cookies, though they are not stored on your computer in the same way. If you disable cookies, the web beacons may still load, but their functionality will be restricted.
- Help the web store (WooCommerce) determine when cart contents/data changes.
- Help the web store know where to find the cart data in the database for each customer.
- Help Google Analytics measure your interaction on the website. They allow us to recognize, count the number of visitors and see how visitors move around the site when they’re using it. This helps us to improve the way our website works, for example by making sure users are finding what they need easily. The visitor remains anonymous.
We use the personal information you provide and information the website automatically collects to communicate with you about your purchase, answer your questions, coordinate with third parties about shipping, and improve the services we provide our clients.
We may use your personal information to communicate with you and process your requests or purchases, and to inform you about our policies and terms, as well as information related to your account. These communications allow us to provide you the products and/or services you have requested, and relate to the relationship between you and us. Please note: In order to process your purchases we may send you a confirmation email or we may contact you by mail or telephone if we have questions about your order.
We also store the information you provide (name, email, telephone, address, work purchased, etc. but not payment information) in a client database. This database is located on a computer at our studio and at a third party service (Artwork Archive) we use to track all artwork and business data.
Drawing on the Promises LLC does not and will not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to other individuals, companies, or organizations. This does not include trusted third parties (i.e. Artwork Archive, InMotion Hosting, etc.) who assist us in operating our website, conducting our business, or servicing you, so long as those parties agree to keep this information confidential.
