Studio Happenings in Winter-Spring 2022

Miriam is enjoying her move to Tennessee to live with family, working on some future art projects and sketching. She entered several shows with the Fairfield Glade Art Guild throughout the fall of 2021.

One of the highlights of this past fall was visiting Sgt. Alvin C. York’s birthplace (of World War I fame) and later home in Pall Mall, Tennessee. The estate is nestled in a picturesque valley on the Cumberland Plateau. You would have a hard time finding a more beautiful place to paint in Tennessee.

In January 2022, she went with her family to New Symrna Beach, Florida, where she enjoyed the warm sunshine, the beach and inlet sunsets, and a tour of the Kennedy Space Center along with lots of wonderful seafood.

Sadly her beloved older sister, Margaret Jackson Bundy, passed away in early 2022, which was a difficult time. Shortly thereafter, Miriam faced several health challenges from a debilitating degenerative lower disk problem that caused severe pain to a deep blood clot in her leg requiring temporary hospitalization. Many of you have sent cards and calls which are a great encouragement to her these last months. Thank you! We hope that she can get back to walking regularly and then painting outside.

For those of you in Birmingham and Alabama, you can still view and purchase her artwork, and we will ship it directly to your home.
