What a fantastic opportunity and experience attending Albert Handell’s artist workshop for four days of painting at the gorgeous Lila McAlpin Retreat studio this summer in beautiful Highlands, NC. Miriam went to one of Albert’s workshops in the 1990’s and thoroughly enjoyed it so when Albert came back to the South, she wanted to attend.
New techniques were learned, new places painted, other artists met, and she was able to visit with family and friends. Albert is such a fantastic teacher, Lila was the perfect host–so gracious and accommodating as well as learning from other talented artists from around the region. Abert’s workshops are a once-in-a-lifetime experience that Miriam highly recommends.
