Acquired: “The Damascus Gate”

A collector in Birmingham, Alabama has acquired this spectacular drawing for her completely renovated home. This drawing of the Damascus Gate in Jerusalem, Israel is from a trip to the Holy Land that Miriam McClung took in 2003. The actual Damascus Gate lies on the north wall of the old city in Jerusalem and is likely the gate that Saul (later Paul) traveled through on his way to Damascus to persecute Christians. On the road to Damascus, Saul was converted through a divine encounter with the risen Christ Himself.
