Acquired: “Boats and Pier at the Lake”
This magical work of “Boats and Pier at the Lake” was sold to a very special collector family for their home in Williamsburg, Virginia. It depicts a summer scene at Lake Logan Martin, Pell City, AL at the artist’s family lake house called “Jackson Hole”. You can view full information on the work here >
Art Studio Summer 2020 Update
It’s been a long Spring and early Summer to say the least. Miriam has been painting quite a bit during COVID-19 isolation and we hope to share some of those works with you soon. Sold: “Baker’s Dairy”
This wonderful giclee reproduction of Baker’s Dairy Farm in Birmingham, Alabama was sold to the grandson of the Baker Dairy. We were so delighted we were able to make this reproduction for the family. The original is available here >
Miriam McClung “A Collection of Works” at Jacksonville State University
Allison McElroy, Art Professor, and Morgan Worsham, Gallery Coordinator, have been kind enough to curate a show of Miriam’s work at Roundhouse Gallery at Jacksonville State University. The work will be on display from October 29th – November 12th in preparation for a retrospective show this summer. Opening reception is October 29th from 5pm-7pm at
Easter Stations of the Cross Exhibit
Miriam had a wonderful show sponsored by St. Peter’s Anglican Church in Mountain Brook, Alabama featuring many of her biblically inspired paintings and works depicting the Stations of the Cross. Many thanks to Kat Ladd (pictured above right) who curated and coordinated the show.
Alabama Pastel Society Exhibition Award
“The Umbrella and Flowers at the Gallery” by Miriam McClung (pictured above) recently received the Birmingham Journal Arts Award for the 2019 Alabama Pastel Society International Exhibition.
Miriam McClung Is Aldridge Gardens Featured Artist for the Summer
Miriam will be the featured artist at Aldridge Gardens in Hoover, Alabama this summer. The theme is works highlighting Birmingham and Alabama. Please come by and see the show if you are in the area. The opening reception for the public is Monday, June 10th from 6 – 7 p.m. in the main gallery at the gardens.
“Those Who Do Not Weep” Show by Inspero Includes Miriam’s Art
Miriam’s work, Twenty-one at the Beach, is part of the Those Who Do Not Weep show organized by InSpero at Oak Mountain Presbyterian Church in Birmingham, Alabama running from March 21 – June 1. Hope you can go by and see all the art on display there at the church gallery.
