Art Transitions 1: Spring

Spring is time of year when the weather and nature transition from dormant to alive. Life also transitions this time of year: students are about to from one phase of life to the next. Building projects begin in earnest. Relationships are publicly committed to and declared. And the list goes on.

We’re looking at some of Miriam’s works that speak to these transitions in any part of life. This work, a wedding gift for a family member, was done in Kingsport, Tennessee during the transition in the mountains between winter and spring. You can see the trees are still dormant, but the flowers in the meadow are alive along with the person picking them and the geese feeding by the lake.
