Mid-Century & Vintage Abstract Art

Miriam's undergraduate and post-graduate studies occurred at the height of the abstract expressionist movement in America in the late 1950s and early 1960s. She spent a summer at the University of Colorado Boulder in a class with noted expressionist painter Mark Rothko. Later, she explored more abstract expressionist work at the Art Students League in New York City from 1958 to 1959.
