Upcoming Exhibits
We are happy to announce that Miriam has been invited to do a show of her portraits at the Carnegie Visual Arts Center in Decatur, Alabama from July 7 – August 22, 2026. We are honored that the Carnegie wants to share Miriam’s work with their community.
We are excited that the Bradford Gallery at St. George’s Episcopal Church in Nashville, TN will be showing showing her faith-centered works from Sep -Dec 2026 in their main gallery. We will post more information when it is available.

Aldridge gardens | 2019
Miriam McClung was the featured artist of the summer at the beautiful Aldridge Gardens main gallery in Hoover, Alabama. Works spotlighted scenes from Birmingham and Alabama by Miriam over 50 years. Special thanks to curator and artist Amy Peterson for organizing the show and Aldridge Gardens Director, Rip Weaver, for hosting the art at such a beautiful location.

The Julia Tutwiler Library at the University of West Alabama, Livingston, will hosted an exhibit of biblically-inspired paintings entitled I See Him Everywhere, featuring works based on places in Birmingham and Alabama. “For the past thirty years have been doing Biblical work and have had great fun using our city and surrounding areas as the background especially a series called the Stations of the Cross. Sometimes I never know where or why I am out there drawing or painting and then the last work appears not by magic but angel unaware creating something out of the life of Christ or the Bible. My recent work is a large drawing of Moses on the Creek being found by the Pharaoh’s daughter. Being Easter week. I am amazed at the Lord revealing the work after years of having fun painting and sketching English Village, He gave me the idea and picture of Christ Entering Jerusalem, The Purple Cloth on Good Friday at Five Points South, The Nativity at Crestline Village, and finally an ongoing work of Emmaus at Mountain Brook Village. My efforts are small but it has been an amazing journey when I turned over my work to Him.”

Covenant Presbyterian Church, joy gallery | 2015
The Joy Gallery at Homewood Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Homewood, Alabama hosted a wonderful show of Miriam’s biblical-themed art. The gallery focuses on local and regional emerging artists and is curated by Maud Coirier-Belser and Tom Dameron, who are both well respected artists in their own right.
Walking in His Footsteps

In 2003, Miriam went on an art tour of sites around the Holy Land. She painted some of her most memorable works from her trip there. This exhibit was the first to show all the works on Israel that came out of that tour. Many thanks to the University of West Alabama and Provost Dr. Tim Edwards and his wife Kathy Edwards for sponsoring and curating this exhibit.

The Country Club of Birmingham | 2008
The Women’s Committee of 100 for Birmingham hosted an event saluting the State of Israel and the Kingdom of Jordan at the Country Club of Birmingham in Alabama. Miriam’s work from her 2003 trip to the Holy Land was the featured art on display for the event.

This exhibit of Miriam’s work was sponsored by Dr. and Mrs Tim and Kathy Edwards at the University of the Ozarks‘ Walton Fine Arts Center, Stephens Gallery in Clarksville, Arkansas. It featured many of her biblically inspired paintings.
The Gardener

The Museum of Biblical Art (formerly the Biblical Arts Center before a fire destroyed the building in 2005) in Dallas, Texas, purpose is to “utilize the arts as a means to help people of all faiths more clearly envision the places, events, and people of the bible. Miriam had a solo exhibit there called “The Gardener” which focused on her biblical works.
